WHY IT STOPS
What stops companies is not capability. It is trust.
Companies do not connect because accidents have already happened. None of the three involved fringe tools — they happened in official features of major SaaS products and in a well-known development platform.

Auth tokens from an AI chatbot were stolen and customer data was pulled out of the connected CRM. More than 700 companies were affected — security vendors among them.

Latens is Latin for hidden. Latent heat — stored without changing the temperature, released all at once at the critical point. The capacity asleep inside a company has the same shape.
A top at rest is just a lump of metal. The moment it spins, it stands on a single point and stays up with no hand on it. Nothing about its form changes; only its state does. What we do is give it that first turn.
PHILOSOPHY
A small singularity
Much of Japan's knowledge work goes into maintaining social infrastructure. Pushing documents through. Making numbers agree. Repeating what was done before, without error. This work is necessary. It just should not consume a life.
